Description
They are Vermillion Toad (VT for short) in a victory pose, and Arya. Arya lives on VT's shadow.

Vermillion T. is a brave swordman toad that's an ex-knight of Princess Peach Castle, he quit being a knight to take the same Mario's job of hero/adventurer and to prove he is better than the plumber. Of course he is a good guy, but for some odd mysterious reazon VT hates Mario, he never says why, he just yells "I hate Mario" at sometimes.

Arya the vampire shadow siren lives in VT's shadow because she can't come out of the shadows at daytime. They are in love too, a couple.

VT is 's Mushroom Kingdom character, not Mario fan-character, just as ~lcronovt said. xD The original one is here: [link] .

And that sword is the legendary Turnip Sword, VT's sword, he can summon it by pulling out any ordinary turnip, and instead of the vegetable the blade appears, and he can summon it anywhere no matter if there are turnips or not, he can do something similar to Peach in SSBM of pulling out a turnip anywhere; he has that power thanks to the sword.
