I loved working on this sword! A commission for ~yougotredonyou , cosplaying Ike from the game Fire Emblem (a version of this sword also appears in the Super Smash Brothers series).Lots of fancy router work on this sword to make the pieces fit together. It was a pain but in the end it was worth it not to have to use a steel bar through the hilt. I used lots of epoxy, electrical wire, and hot glue for this. omg. Also, I used up an entire can of white primer on it. (that's pretty epic in my world, bear with me XD)
I don't have a lathe so I had to chisel out the round parts of the hilt by hand ;_;
But...like any artist, as much as I grumble about my works in progress, it's cause I love them!

Imho.. This is more likely Alondite, Ragnell's sister sword. Details on the guard and hilt fits on Alondite, But gold color on the blade goes on Ragnell. Alondite has clear/silver blade.
Still looks really nice.

Yeah, I made Ragnell sword and it's really difficult to find proper ref pictures as there is Alondite and Ragnell, just few details what are different. Main detail is that Ragnell have gold blade and Alondite clear/"silver". I had to make Ragnell sword what can be put into pieces for shipment, as I'm in EU area and my client was in US there is some length limits.
Still, you have made awesome sword.

Yes, it's wood! The paint used was just metallic gold spray paint.

There are but only a few people to get my attention in the art of swordmaking....you would be one of them^^ i must say i am truly impressed. This is one of the best ive seen so far. Just finished my Bamboo Katana and now i will continue working on my version of Links Master Sword.

Wow! That is cool! I want one..............Ya know, it's a pitty there aren't more blacksmiths out there to make real versions of all these crazy video game swords......and good ones, too, not no cheap-ass shite that will fall apart.
