once again, another beautiful capture. the horizon seems to be placed a little high, but you did a great job in balancing the weight by capturing the scattered yellow and red gradients in the foreground. this works very well. i'm also quite fond of the three horizontal tiers in this image.

i was once told (actually, i think i read this, but coming from a credible source, i consider myself being 'told') that, loosely, 'a rock may have beautiful texture, shape, color, and intrique. this same rock is none of those if it is and obstacle in my path or i trip over it. it then becomes something else completely.'

that said, i'm on the fence with the ice chunk (?) in the llc. at times it is dominant and yet others i don't notice it. to crop it out would mean losing your yellow and red gradients and the image wouldn't lose balance, but as a stand alone i like the yellow and red gradients.

love,

I wish that I had gone out to Turnagain Arm, but I had to get home. The sunet was really amazing tonight

I debated for a while weither to go or not. I am glad I did though. I got lucky that the fog rolling in stopped right there or I would have missed the sunset for sure.
