DracoFlameus was looking for a new logo, so I offered her my commission service to do one for her. She then chose me, which is truly an honour from such a close friend! When depicting her dragon-sona, DF, I had in mind all of the awful things the real-life Draco is having to go through, and felt that there was no better emotion for me to depict with DF than fury. Front-views on dragons are really hard work, and I'm not even sure how I managed to do this one so well. I guess you could study this piece and the W.I.P version I posted here a while back if you want an idea on how I did it. One thing I loved doing with this effect was blurring the flames to complete the 'flame blast' effect, as it just adds so much dynamism to the piece.Anyway, I'm glad I was able to get this done for you, Draco! Thank you so much! I tend to make shaded areas 'pop' more by making then solid rather than blended, though things like the blast of flame are exceptions.
