down memory lane, across my troubled timelinereading old writings, remembering the past times
the sorrowful times i hated and harmed myself
and i was mad at the world, mad at life, mad at myself
and recalling later times, when i was madly in love
when life seemed wonderful, beautiful and sweet
only to reach the recent times, fresh in my memory
when sadness and apathy took over and conquered my soul
and hope just keeps dying, bit by bit
every single day...
