Oookay, so it's not exactly a tutorial... but I couldn't find a category for reference sheets so this is the closest thing, mmkay!Anyways, I spent the past few months working hard on improving my use of expressions since I figure this is one area that can make a big difference for cartoons/comics... and now I figured it might be helpful for others to see how these expressions work on one character, without the face moving/facing a different direction... hopefully this way you can see how each one is formed, and create your own expressions from that!
And like I said in the sheet, these certainly aren't the be-all-and-end-all of character expressions, it's just a nice variety to help yeh out and guide in creating your own to suit a particular situation, so try mixing and matching different things to see what results you get!
Most importantly, have fun doing 'em!

Man... I don't know how much I've told people the importance of expressions...
Hell... I've seen stick comics come to life because the artist gave them expressions (limited expression... but it's there)
This refrence sheet is great (not to mention funny, hehehe 
Some people don't know that taking the little bit of time to make yourself a refrence sheet, can save you a LOT of effort in the end...
I'm certain that all comic and manga artists has a refrence sheet of their characters (especially facial expressions) somewhere in their archive...

Well thank yah man, I figure if I ain't gonna be doing crazy work with perspective an' whatnot... then at least go hell-for-leather with something I can do (expressions!)
You're right with the sheet there, now that it's created I can look back at it when doing expressions and see if there's something I'm missing, or could use... glad to hear it was a learning experience! ^^

I remember one time I humped this basket ball hoop & these gangsters in the court chased me around my compound. D; Their faces were exactly like the bottom right face.
