so... my only update in about two weeks!i did this piece after visiting the GunRev studio about a week ago... long story short i wanted to do something with backgrounds... so yeah...
PLUS!!
i've been playing a lot of FF:tactics on my pc (emulator!)... and as you can probably tell... i love dem magic users!!
STORY BEHIND THE PIC!!
blue mage is about to cast (take a guess!!
)... which he already did on the angry bangaa's partner (beside the red mage)!red mage is hurt... life below 20%... dragoon taking advantage of it by using jump while she's down!
blue mage is having none of it... little does the bangaa know that the blue mage is equipped with double sword!!! manganese + soul saber!!
the end!

i haven't really drawn in the japanese style in a while... but i did try to keep the general aesthetic!
don't ask me how long it took me to do this. simply put... TOO. DAMN. LONG.
maybe its because i'm not use to laying out backgrounds so much since i have a tendency to avoid em.

well... i don't really think it's THAT overpowered... but powerful nonetheless

Heh, its only if you think of it out of context. In the advance one a lot of things are overpowered so it loses some of its shine, but if your lucky youll notice its one of only a few physical attacks that can hit people regardless of whats between them and the target. To high for arrows? k, no prob! Tree blocks bullet? k, no prob! Freindly fire a worry? K, no prob!

This is amazing! The background certainly inputs into the mood! Im a bit of a magic user lover too >u< They're just so great! Though you gotta love dem muscles too..The game is just awesome. How can you not love everything?

Tactics was actually my first Final Fantasy game. I havent played the whole series yet, but Tactis still remains numbah 1

haha, i know what you mean. after seeing my reference pictures for the color scheme of the judge i felt bad for giving him a background role! the armor detail would have been epic... but for now, he'll have to make do as a spectator.
