A heavy thick silence muffled his movements, while his thoughts raced with a hurricane-paced irritation. Small little birds that lined the walls, perched on shelves, could feel the perturbed air throbbing with thoughts like night. A darkened window shielded them form the frosty black outside, with its silenced towns and trees. A small panicked chirrup came from a petite green bird. The rest, choked with thick thoughts, soon followed. He sat up, macabre in his eyes. Soon the air reeked with suffocating thoughts and birds' shrill screams, feathers creating scraggly shadows across the walls as they dropped to the ground. Eyes glassed over like marbles as gray streaks reached the window.
