Description
His hands were sweating as he walked through the doors. He never visited the exhibit hall. It had a strange, sickly smell and it sent shivers down his spine. But he had promised, so here he was. He hurried by the cages until he found the one Rob had told him about. "Freakiest thing you'll ever see man. It's so sick! You gotta see it." He glanced down at the exhibit sign, already itching to leave. Movement caught his eye. Something in a corner. He looked at her through the glass window. Crouching in a corner, fiddling with the bones of her long gone meal in her hands. Her hair was long and wet and tangled. Her joints fell loose and long. Another movement, a slab landed in the center of the confinement. He could see every ridge of her spine as she bent over, her eyes darting, evaluating the risk that was her survival. She gave a satisfied snarl, wolfing down the assumedly edible mass that was sustenance. He pressed a hand to the glass. She looked at him with feral green eyes. She had seen him, and if she could, she would have her teeth in his neck in an instant. She would drink from his veins as quick as she would blink. She crouched lower to the ground, her clawing nails digging the frayed dirt. Her face turned to an inhuman snarl, pointed and stained teeth displayed. Years of evolution were erased, primal animal was all that was left. In a sickening moment of horrible elegance, she leapt at the window, her nails cracking the glass as the barrier shuddered from her weight. She stood at her full height now, inches away from him. She was tall, staring through him with her bewitching green eyes. She gave something of a grin, and then that horrible snarl, burying her green eyes under folds of blood rage. But the snarl was cut short. Her body rippled from some sort of great neurological impact, like a crater had crashed into the back of her neck. Her face relaxed, turning into a soft, sad, smooth white face of a girl. She looked at him, pleading with her green eyes before she toppled to the ground like a doll, a tranquilizer in her neck. He saw his face reflected back at him in the window. He found that he was crying. He came again the next week, but there was something new in her place.Related content

Oh yikes. oao
Love this. The description of the girl from girl to beast to girl again, absolutely fascinating.

Thank you! I'm glad my unconventional non-'Count von Stuffy' view of vampires didn't scare you off.

Haha, yes she was...not exactly the most clear story I've ever written, but I wanted it to be implied, instead of like "HEY LOOK! I BE VAMPIE! I haz suck bloodz." Because that would be dull.
