Description
You got the earth at your feet
You have the air in your lungs
You have the ocean on your side
You have the animals at your service
So how come you don't have the planet at your heart?
You have only yourself to blame
****
Tel Aviv, Israel.
This time the poem is not one you can link to the image right away, I know. Somehow this one triggered me to the whole environment issue. Our planet is so beautiful, and we have it all to share and enjoy, but we keep destroying it, the ozone layer, extinct animals, pollution...
At first I thought of taking it to the two women enjoying friendship and freedom, but somehow this issue took over in my head.
Anyway, I hope this made you feel, no matter what you got out of it, that's the idea of taking art to a personal place.

What I find most amusing in this shot is the reflection. And not just it but how it's positioned; it sort of settles to the route where these two women have walked, following them. Kind of reminds me of those stories where a girl walks and after her flowers start to bloom.. (and the clouds look like palying lions but that might be just me!) That idea starts to communicate with your poem in my head; yes, maybe these women have it, earth in their hearts, enjoying it but not enslaving it.

Your comment made me think about the issues about our environment too. Yes, our planet is indeed very beautiful, and it is such a huge influence to inspiring us to take amazing photographs. Nature's beauty in photographs leave us in awe but I do hope we don't end up just seeing them through photographs like these.. Nothing can also beat seeing the beauty of nature first-hand or at a certain moment. Great shot. I love the details, the atmosphere, and the angle. Your photographs are very appealing, captivating, and inspiring. Your photographic eye never cease to amaze me.

hmm Just wondering why you felt the need to overly another picture of clouds into the wet sand, surely the original reflections were nicer and matched the sky itself. ive noticed you often do fake reflections in your photographs.

haha, so your telling me that the water in that image is reflecting the exact same sky above it.... because if you are you have some serious denial issues

Maybe the photographs looks trivial, but the quality of the shot is amazing. I'll pass the usual compliments about the light, reflection, composition which are amazing.
What's interesting me at the highest point is your poem and your interpretation of this shot. I love it, it's so true. We're all enjoying the environment, life and nature in general, but I think we don't do enough things to keep it enjoyable on the long run. I love the perspective you gave, that we are all guilty of killing our Mother Earth.
Your poem kinda shocked me, and helped me realized that we should love Earth as we love people around us.
