My life is nearly a picture on your wall
And yours, is a wall hiding my life
My hands are worn out,
Scratching the bars of freedom

This is not a cry for you to destroy the city zoo, just an expression I keep feeling, visiting a zoo, and looking into their eyes.
That's how I feel, though in some cases, living in captivity saves their lives.
What kind of life is this for them? I know I wouldn't want to live that way....

We should lend our hand to our biological relatives a little more. As the photography shows, they have no easy life. But it's certainly a super shot.

That's creepy--it looks like a human hand. So much for only a few degrees of separation. Poor guy--the zoo where I live has them in a pit with grass and trees.

I remember seeing this photo YEARS ago But I couldn't remember where I saw it at. I think about it so often. As I was browsing your gallery I re-came across it.

I understand what you're saying but zoos are hardly places that saves lives. if we really want to preserve any hope for the creatures, we need to build sanctuaries where they are in as similar a habitat as can be. Unless you have one of the zoos like they're updating them in Germany which is as far as i will ever go in saying zoos are better than nothing, we need to make sure these animals live life as well as can be expected...which means in a sanctuary where they are protected and where people can see them if need be. This way is just pure selfishness in my book

But nowadays, I'd rather see an animal in a zoo than in the wild [when it comes to highly endangered species I mean]... at least they have a chance at survival behind bars, they're all just getting murdered in the wild. :\

I hate zoos...Each living creature should be free and live in the nature...Nobody should imprison the animals...This photograph is very meaningfull in this situation...
