this is only my 1st tut. heres an example

1) you can make this your DA icon-the dimensions are 50x50,either way it must be a square!no it really doesnt
ok so make you dimension(the one up there is 300x300 exept yours will move!)
paste or make your picture then go to filters-animation-ripple.

2) choose what ever you want for the ripple strength,the best in my opinion is 5.0.

3) the edge behavior should be warp(i never tried anything else so feel free to experiment)

4) # of frame can be what ever you want! go to filter-animation-playback(if you like it save it as a gif)
