Description
I saw a person trapped within the pressure of life and time.He did his best to free himself and with that, he took a breath of freedom.
Then he sat down, waiting...
'What are you waiting for?'
'The next challenges of life to come.'
'But you just freed yourself from them'
'I know, but my life has no meaning without them as well'
I saw a person slowly enveloped within the pressure of life and time.
Surprisingly, he smiled contently as if it was nothing at all.
***
True story ... well, not to be taken literally. It was inspired from a conversation with a friend who really thought that without exams, reports, and assignments, his life is worthless. And that conversation inspired me to do this drawing.
Illustrator, 4.5 hours (not including sketching)

This actually looks like a real painting! >< It has that blurred edge to it that brings the images to life. Another brilliant interpretation of something people don't really notice. I need inspiration! ^^

real painting? really? wow, thanks!!! i didn't really have any idea of how the finished image should look like, i just go with what felt right to me (besides, this was done digitally, so i wasn't worry about making mistakes)
i like taking inspirations from familiar things around me. lately i tried to translate interesting phrases (one of my favorite by my bro who described the taste of his first live oyster, "... feels like swallowing the ocean" ... got the sketch but haven't got any idea how to start) into images. not necessarily too literal.
i got ideas for your sketch, but somehow i got stuck in the drawing process. ... i'll need extra time before i can come up with something
thanks so much for the comment! it really made my day!

there are really no mistakes! It's all in your imagination~~~ It looks wonderful!
A live oyster?? no way! But isn't that just cruelty? But I can see how strange that must be...draw that! It'll be very interesting^^
Don't worry, have all the time you need since it's better to be well-thought out than rushed! :3
You're very welcome

Hmm.. Pretty philosophical. Great picture. The fact that the person is grayish white really makes her stand out from the rest of the picture. It also makes me feel sombre though. fav+

the hardest color for me to figure out was her skin! the grayish skin was my last option (it was actually light brown on the palette, but looks more of gray on the pic. the original was white but it looks more like light green). thank you so much for the fav and the kind comment!

wow, thanks! it meant a lot coming from you! actually i'm not good in drawing movement and complex expression, that's why i have to combine the girl with other stuff to make it interesting

hehe, the inspiration rarely comes to be honest. the sketch itself had been stagnating for about months before i decided to work on it! thanks so much for the support!
