Description
Here in this garden I standIt's been 19 years of waiting
Amongst the roses of good soil
Some of those red, pink and yellow
and I'm the one without any colour hue
I've matured well
I'm just as good as the others
and it's been 7 years now, that I've been in bloom.
I've watched the seasons come, and I've seen them go
Watched those flowers get picked,
and yet here I stand in this garden all alone
Throughout the seasons I stood and a garden thistle grew
He grew around me, rather tame
until wildly he grew
He took my light,
he suffocated me
His arms tangled around me,
he strangled me
It took all my strength, before I was saved
By unusual friends: Winter and Frost
That thistle got burnt and lonely died
and I finally managed to resurrect myself
As I watch the flowers grow
those gone, now returned
My wary eye now scans the bed for malicious crew
It's been 19 years now and my petals are beginning to wilt
Here I will stay until I shrivel up,
and the harsh north wind blows
There'll be no return for me, I say
as roses are roses
and are judged by what they see
Time has come
To succumb to fate
For someone else to take the ground I once stood
Mary, quite contrary, was one lucky girl

The garden metaphor theme works great.
Yeah you probably just need to neaten things up a bit, make them more concise
