Art dump; part of an environment study/concept/thing.I really admire people with the skill and patience to create massively detailed and properly scaled backgrounds/environments; half the time I'm too impatient to etch in every little detail haha |D Nonetheless, I want to work on my improving my background skills.

Oooh this is really lovely! I love the composition and the soft colours, it gives it a really nice feel. And the little dappled bits of sunlight are a really lovely touch. :'D
I worship anyone who can do amazing backgrounds, I practised them for ages last year but I'm still not totally content with them, there's just so much to keep in mind when drawing them, it can be overwhelming. xD This is really nice though Schu, you're really good at them! *u*

Oh yes I know the feeling. I'm always left in awe when I come across artists who know what they're doing with backgrounds.
There's just so much information to process when it comes to environments/backgrounds/buildings/whatever else. It's one thing to place the general layout down, but when it gets down to filling out the details and taking into account of lighting and stuff, it just becomes a massive battle.

Same! And exactly, you have to consider the composition and perspective and make sure it blends with any characters that are present too, there's so much to them that it makes my head spin sometimes. Flipping it then just makes mistakes so glaringly obvious that you have to go and fix them, it never ends with backgrounds ahaha. |D
