I have always felt an enormous pathos in the bare feet of a dead woman - somehting like a symbol of destroyed innocence. And what I find most powerful here is the image of her, having made up her mind, sitting in the chair, undoing the straps, slipping the shoes off -- then hanging herself - choosing to die in her bare feet and have to her corpse found that way.

hm, i was bored in borders, flipping through a femminist magazine.. there was an anngry rant against this calandar that featured pictrues of naked, dead women. various deaths and stuff..
