Here's the finished Jessica Alba portrait. This has been on my desk for a while and I'm glad to have it done. This scan is not very accurate with the original because my scanner washes out light tones into whites. It's really frustrating. Anyways, here it is, hope you like it.12"x18" Fabriano Hotpress

can you please teach me how to draw real people, i know you are probably very busy, and i know it takes practice, but i am a really good drawer, just not as good at realism, if you could just take a few minutes of your time to tell me how (in traditional drawing) how you shade and make the face proportional, i would appreciate it more than you could ever know! just any tips you can provide... i especially need help on hair

WONDERFUL pencil work. I can see how as the artist you may be discontent with your scanner, but I happen to love the lighter wash of this image! It communicates such control and softness, allowing Alba's emotion to be emphasized.
