Ooh this is so pretty. I just read Luca's comment - I wish flamingos lived here! The only time I've seen a real one is at the zoo. Did you use watercolour pencils? It all looks too smooth to be ordinary coloured pencils

Thanks Mish. Yeah I wish we had flamingos too. Nope, it's just colored pencil. I tried to keep them sharp so that it looked smooth.

You did a beautiful job on this, Brian! I do believe that your heart is in a much warmer wetter climate right now, isn't it? The little sand piper type of birds, and now this flamingo. I see those little birds every time I go to the beach, and I see the flamingos when I visit Busch Gardens. Those little sand piper birds are so funny! Their little legs move so fast you can't even see them! They flit along the edge of the water, ebbing and flowing with the water as it comes up and moves down.
Now me? I'm wishing I were back in my native cold climate!

What is a colorless blender by the way and how is it used?

You mix your mediums really well, brotha. This looks nice and soft tonally, and I actually thought it was water color at first.
Nice job.

It's great Brian!
Where I live, there are hundreds of them I must say you captured it very well! Pink flamingos are so elegant and nice, you should see them flying too.. nice creatures indeed.

Really, you have pink flamingos there?! I was actually thinking that would be so cool to see one of these in person when I was working on it. And I was wondering where they live in the world too. They are really beautiful creatures.

Yeah, at the beginning they used to migrate to Sardinia (where I live) during the springtime and summer but since the weather here is kind of warm during all the year (we don't have very very cold winters) they stopped moving and elected this place as their new home
Their nice PINK color is due to a particular little shrimp they eat (Artemia Salina).
