i firmly believe that Midnight is the reason why Ozzy has a fear of other horses.since I'm just starting with watermarks, please let me know if i do one that's just terrible.

sadly, Marveland Farms, where this photo was taken, was sold this past summer and within the next two years it will be torn down for housing. with that change came a change in my life too, and after six years of working at the training center i had to quit my job there. however, i now work at Bluestone a standardbred breeding farm, where the horses are just as pampered.

the watermark isn't actually bad, it's pretty nice and it doesn't really hurt the shot very much. I love Ozzy's pose in this one, he looks so showy.

anyway i love how wid you made this picture and how small the horses look. Midnight looks throughly happy. though ozzy could look better... hes in such a beautiful pose though! i love it!

I think the watermark is fine, Dom. It's not overbearing, it just prevents art theft, which is your goal. Poor Ozzy looks like he's running for his life. It's a beautiful capture but I feel kind of bad for him!

love the picture. the colors are amazing and I like the camera angle. but about the watermarks: someone can easily photoshop those out. I'd say make it a little darker. I'm sorry you've been affected (effected?) by art theives ><

i doubt they could EASILY photoshop them out. i realize watermarks don't stop thieves, but it's something... i don't want to destroy the integrity of the images entirely....

no because I JUST started using photoshop elements (a demo version of photoshop) a few weeks ago and I could photoshop those out. I know, its a shame that you have to do this, but if you really want to fend off art thieves, you just have to make it sliiiightly darker. but it's your artwork, so do whatever you like.

Sorry to hear about the theft. The link to freeweb no longer works, so maybe that's been closed down. In photobucket at the moment I find under "standardbred" only a heap of pix of plastic horse models (whatever for I can't imagine) and nothing that I recognize.

I don't think the watermarks are too bad. I don't know how to do artsy fartsy the watermarks but I'm sure you'll figure it out somehow. Then you can make a spiffy one that you don't absolutely hate.

I think it looks very good, great job. If you'd like maybe I can make you a mark that is more of the proffesional circle with a C-type thing, and then any other text you want, and you could just copy and paste it on your pics. It might be faster and easier that way. It depends on what program you have though o.O

i like to change it a little as the photo requires, but if you can teach me a trick for getting the copyright symbol in text that would be great

I don't think there is one in photoshop short of making one, but that isn't hard. I have seen ones around with the large copyright signs, but they where blended enough that they were barely noticeable and didn't take away at all from the pic. Maybe I can work on something or other tomorrow and show you...not saying you have to use it, but that might make it easier and make it look more pro, hehe. It would be easy as we have the same program, so I could just email you the psd. format with the layers.

I like the watermark--well, I mean, I don't LIKE it, pictures are far prettier without watermarks, but I think it's a good idea for you to do. I hate to think of people ripping off your gorgeous photos. But I think it's well done--unobtrusive, but it should discourage thieves. God, stupid people... Who does that? Who sees someone else's art and decides that it would be a great idea to just TAKE it?! Grrrr.
Anyway, I really like this, they both look utterly magnificent, that smooth, graceful movement. Great shot.
