one of those vivid spontaneous late night visions desperately scribbled out in 25 min.
original was more anisotropic metal texture, chain chomp(rectangular/grill teeth), more dark-atmospheric lighting w/ same general color scheme and contrast. very dark cast iron;sonicthehedgehog;electric state and hyperreal, more factory scrap background than city. undescribable dozens of different versions of same vision tormenting in fast intervals but little motion or action to the scene.

Other inspirations were some of the cat balloons Stalenhag drew, obviously 'toon' stuff in general.
I dunno how many people read Simon's books but the writing itself is an onslaught of subtle but effective seething violence, gore, and horror.
On a mental level, this is closer to what I think of when people mention his art. Along with crippling, starvng pangs of nostalgia and desolation.
