It's funny, looking at the CG model, you can point out similarities between Optimus and The Fallen, one of the original Primes. The Fallen had this weird design where his forearms had this thing attaching them to his waist, but still allowing him to have a full range of movement. Optimus has those on his forearms, but they're cut off. I'm not saying he was GOING to get them, but I guess it shows that there's certain design traits in the Primes that was passed down over the years or...Solarcycles?
