---- A very minor race idea I had for the Legacyverse, filling the "space goblin" niche to rcs's [link] spartan-religious fanatic human orcs

The wiry, petite humanoids known as Boogs are considered to be the very first race the Vornai managed to enslave, or more accurately the pathetic remnants of that first race. It is believed they once had a culture of their own, but generations of endless abuse and subjugation have done away with all that. A modern Boog is a laborious but dim-witted little thing, with no language but that of the Vornai's -to take orders of course- and having been born to servitude as far as he or she knows. They are at the very bottom of Vornai society, but they are perfectly content with it; To a Boog, the Vornai masters are a fact of life, and questioning the facts of life leads to a beating and little else.

On the aftermath of the Machine War, the Boogs are, for all intents and purposes, completely free, but they still continue to serve the Vornai, for they are unable to make their own decisions anymore; a life of enslavement is all they know

The Boogs are so lowly in the eyes of their masters that they are often treated as a manner of livestock. Females that reach sexual maturity are inmediately pulled from labour to spend their lives as breeding machines. Males will be working for the entirety of their lives, but with a bit of luck those that prove obedient and able will get the permission to mate and provide even more loyal offspring
