Created by a harvest god, the halfling race was derived from prairie dogs. These small creatures exemplify unity, cooperation, and community. Although they are more than capable of building large cities, they prefer to dwell in small agrarian towns of underground cottages.
While halflings seldom stray far from their towns, on occasion young pups will be born with an uncontrollable desire to explore. It’s believed this is an evolutionary adaptation to allow for the spread of the race.
Despite their small stature and generally content demeanor, halflings are far from pushovers. They will rapidly mobilize in defense of home and kin, combining strength in numbers with coordinated attacks to bring down much more powerful foes.
