The statement is so true, it isn't even funny. Please pardon my language, but Mrs. Meyer's work, including her latest book, is puerile and monotonous. She lacks any sense of plot, character, or the functions of a REAL relationship.If you're one of those people who knows that the writing is bad yet still likes the book, you can still comment.
But if you're one of those people who are like "TWILIGHT IS DE BEST BOOK EVAR U SUCK BELLA X EDWARD 4EVER", then just leave. Quietly.

I can never understand how my friends love this series. Even some of my friends say that they know it's bad, but they can't help liking it. It's really frustrating, because I can write the same crap but I won't be on New York Time's bestseller list!

Now that, my dear, is called a guilty pleasure. Everybody has one, which is proven by the some of your friends. But the others that say that the writing is provocative and thoughtful must be submit to I.Q. testing.

I figured that out a while ago, that although I may hate all I like, I have some other stuff that are equally as bad and equally as enjoyable. Those who say the writing is so eloquent and wonderful needs to read more books, really (maybe away from the teen romance section).

Even though I myself am somewhat of a fan of her work, you are right on a lot of levels. The entire series is just really bizarre in some parts, and it strays very far from the actualities of a real relationship.
