The time when you can only live for the daylight of tomorrows.

The exhaust of not being able to sleep.

You're sitting in your room when it starts again. You want to run away from the world, but you know you can't. All thoughts of guilt and shame flood you when you realize it's not about you. It's about them using you as a cover. What do you do now? Subtly walk down to get water so they have to stop for a moment? Wait it out? Run away? Plug your ears? No. None of the above. You do nothing. You can do nothing. You try to block it out. You listen to music, you close your ears, you occupy your valuable time with something else. Nothing works, but they've finally stopped now.

The awkward silence fills up the house and you can imagine her sitting in a corner crying her eyes out while he stares at his computer on the other side of the room. All harshness of words and painful verbal stings are gone, but they're still arguing silently. You feel locked up. Nothing to do, no where to go, and tomorrow seems like forever away. What now?
