You can murder my body
Strip away my dignity, my clothes, and my pride
But I don't need those anyway
Since my savior had none of those when his body died
In my faith I am strong

You can laugh all you want at my rosary beads
But in the end, it is I who shall wear the crown
You can hold me down and destroy all I seem to be
It is not my soul you are killing
I can take any hit you throw, any kick you give
I can handle anything this life brings if God is willing
Salvation belongs to my God
And he has blessed me well
Every blessing I receive, I turn back to praise
And then I spread it to those who experience only Hell
For I am not worthy
Of this ultimate present from my Father
So here, let me share it with you
You can take it or leave it, whichever you'd rather
His love is perfect, his love never ends
Ask and you shall receive, I tell you, it is true!
God's love waits eternally
No matter what you choose to do
You can take it and go
You can take it and use it
You can outright refuse all that he offers
Or be transformed down to the base of your spirit
Nothing you do can change your Father's love
But how you respond can change your fate
Heaven or Hell, oh, what a choice!
Heaven is simple, act only in love and never hate
You cannot judge anyone else ever again
I don't care if he or she is bi, straight, or gay
If he or she is drugged and armed to the teeth
God's love must permeate each and every word you say
Every action you take
Must reflect his goodness, you have no other choice
This is why I have seen so many refuse
With either their bodies or in each choice
You can kill, or you can save
You can assault or you can defend
You can live forever or you can die
Just as you can be an enemy or you can be a friend
To be apathetic is to decide
That nothing is worth committing to
But what was the cross but an eternal commitment?
How can you say no to what God did for you?
How can you look at that perfect example,
And just turn away?
How can you know so many examples of faith
Yet not shout, "My lord and my God!" and not pray?
How can you read the Gospels
And not know the truth of the light?
Oh, right, I forgot. You have to open your eyes
Open your heart and you will see the futility of the fight
What have you to gain from your refusal?
What gain is Hell but loss and despair?
It would seem that you know as well as I
That Hell and Heaven is a choice most unfair
To look in the face of perfection
To look at hands pierced from sheer love of you
And yet to turn away, to walk away without a thought
Because loving unconditionally isn't something you can do!
How selfish can you be?
They look at me as an example of wrongdoing
I am human, I am imperfect
But I am successful each time I learn from my losing
You cannot defeat perfection
You cannot destroy all that is good and holy and true
No matter who you say you are or who you say I am
Because God's love is not dependent on what you do
In the end, only you lose
When you turn away from perfection
So go, fly, be free
I cannot stop you from going in the wrong direction
I cannot force you to believe
I cannot force you to bow your head and pray
But know, in your heart and in your soul
That it is God who has the final say
