My beliefs are not popularI don't approve of pot or cigarettes
Or drinking a lot
I don't believe in frivolous sex
Because I think these things hurt people
I will not apologize
For standing up for my beliefs
We all have a right to be who we are
This is me
The things I stand for
Are not the causes my peers care about
Not all the time
Sometimes it bothers me, sometimes not
But what hurts most of all
Is to be ignored
And so I say
through gritted teeth
This is me
Who I am
Take it, leave it
But do not try to change me
