It looks like you're using small brushes for the skin and coloring in small patches, have you tried using really large brushes, (think 1/4 of face size) and erasing any colors that are outside of the lines, then adding details like eyes and other features at the end?

it is that simple ? I am just trying to be too throughout and using too small brush? Anyway I will try expirement on using bigger brush size.

Yah well in your paintings  the skin comes out really smooth without looking boring. Naturally I think that if  I use big brushes  there won't be enough variety of colour. Lately I have been just doing sketches though and not colouring in while.

Actually, maybe it would make sense for you to watch me paint? I'll be doing livestreams intermittently starting a month from now XD You could even try doing it in black and white first and colorizing it with an overlay layer?

I have tried doing black and white  but to be honest i am not that good yet doing it that way I propably do it too dark I guess.  This one being the expirement of that method zenilla94.deviantart.com/art/C… . But I think I used color layer for colour instead.

Looks good btw, you can use the Levels adjustment layer to make layers below your color layers lighter if you need to. Use the little arrows below the black-white gradient (below the histogram), and move the black slider to the right :3

Done testing, I could've polished it more and fix the lip, bit too long on the other side. zenilla94.deviantart.com/art/S… xD  well it is something, easier than the other way I tried to color over greyscale on the Riven one.
