This is achingly real, the deep shadows are used to spectacular effects in this. Thhe eye shifts, trying to accommodate, but not quite settles, slides off and re-enters this world.

This is such a gorgeous painting. I love how the light pattern leaves her eyes in the shadows. I feel like it adds a bit of mistery to what her intentions are.

The lady who bought it thought so too. The model was looking into the light so I guess it was a natural thing to do. It definitely put seduction in her eyes.
