Description
This is another shot taken at Gettysburg, this time from the perspective of a soldier standing behind the cannon, waiting for it to fire. For some reason when I look at this picture it isn't hard to imagine all the enemy soldiers running through the field towards the line that this cannon protects. Didn't capture any ghosts on film with this shot but maybe nexttime I go I might take a few at night just to see what happens.Related content

Very nice. I like what you've done with the cannon placement, its pointing towards the center so the eye stays in the frame. It also adds a sense of mystery, "Where is the cannon aimed at? Why is aimed at it?" well maybe not mystery, but intrigue. Lovely shot.

I am glad that you got that out of it. It was really meant to capture those kind of feelings so I can count this picture a major success. Thanks so much for the comments.

From the two trips I took to Gettysburg I have about 30 shots of cannons. Close ups, landscapes with them in it and of course pictures like this with the cannon as the main subject. I am sure I will post more of them over time.
