Next is the plots......"plots" of Johnny Test and I'll be honest they're REALLY lacking. I usually try to give credit where credit is due and since this is my thoughts on the question "Is Johnny Test worst than TTG" I'll try to compare to the two as much as I can. First of all if you're familiar with my reviews (I'll assume you're not for the sake of this) you should know I despise Teen Titans go because of the impact it's has on Cartoon Network that any amount of effort needs to not only NEVER be meet but also never conceived. The plots to TTG speak WORLDS about the quality (lack thereof) of the show as they're either incomprehensible or plain wastes of time. Worst case you get episodes like "Return of Slade" and "Fourth Wall" which are the criticism bait episode that of course do not add any real distance to a point but instead dishes out and take invective. The real crime to Johnny Test is surprisingly and thankfully different as the only atrocity given is just plain boredom and OH BOY HEAPS OF IT. There's so much recycling with the cartoon that you can easily see it when you view the course of it's start, changes mid series, and its end.It starts with Johnny being an annoying ass with his dog being dragged along because despite being able to verbally stand up for himself Dukey is strictly "Do as I say not as I do". Johnny then tries to get his Sisters to help him which they either A. Decline as it's foolish and vain or B. Blackmail him into doing something for him. If that somehow fails (90% of the time that is) Johnny devises a plan to sneak into the lab to appease his personal gain but will ALWAYS screw something up leading them to fix and ending with Johnny learning jack shit because lol. But let me be frank that my most HATED recycled plot(s) are the "Johnny X" plots when Johnny uses easily given superpowers to get rid of a threat. These threats are always curbstompped which make the powers useless to me as Johnny can gain more to become incredibly OP. Even as a "parody" of superheroes these fucking plotlines start and end the same goddamn way with very little deviation. So to put these into context the Johnny Test plots are boring compared to the TTG plots but Johnny Test plots are at least easy to follow. I also felt that Johnny Test at least hold back a little on the random bullshit every once and a while where as in Teen Titans Go it's almost ALWAYS in your face with bright colors and characters screaming at you.
Now I was going to mention this in the last Analytic Rant and I'm glad another user brought this up (if you're reading this thank you). among the many things that make Johnny Test infamous its overuse of its own sound effects almost kill the experience. There's musical cues and this annoying guitar riff but the most prominent is a whip cracking sound. Like Ed Edd n Eddy you're going to hear some sound effects especially for slapstick comedy but to that shows credit (I love it by the way) they spread it out enough to where if you here it again it isn't annoying and can even spice a scene or bit of comedy up if used for something different. I remember one person saying that the whip sound effect in the 100th episode of the series was used 180 to 190 times. That's TOO damn excessive for one single sound effect and like Ed Edd n Eddy's case you HAVE to spread it out even if you know it'll be used more than once. It's the same way with Family Guy it has a home run every now and again then runs it into the fucking ground. Over exposure and excessiveness can EASILY diminish what may have been gold. I'm not a comedian but my one rule when telling a joke or trying to be funny is to AVOID being excessive like a diseased corpse.
