These guys are incredibly hard to photograph, you just get them in focus and they are gone, it took a long time to finally get some shots of a few that stayed put long enough to gets shots of them. My hats off to those that can get great shots of these little acrobatic aerial missiles.Related content

That's an awesome dragonfly. I've never seen one of these. Where did you take this photo?

was taken at a local conservation area at a small pond where I'd gone to see if I could get some shots of turtles
but everything was over grown this year and only one turtle was there this year and to far away to get a good shots.
So I focused on trying to get shots of the dragon flies around the area
