Kory Farren:
As a young adult, Kory feels the irrepressible need to do things independently. Studies medicine, relatively benign, tolerant, prone to peer pressure, prone to self pressure, doesn't lie (technically), no artistic taste. Blunt. Greatest asset in society is not social grace, but overall amiability and some degree of naivite.

Toward mother (Natasha): Growing increasingly independent from his mother and sometimes frustrated by her smothering, he actually respects her the most and will usually listen to her, feeling slightly guilty that she had to raise him on her own. He struggles to meet her expectations, which contributes to his obsession with studying.

Toward uncle (Shepard): Fondness. He feels the most comfortable discussing personal things or his own interests with uncle.

Toward fiance: Always trying to please her, feels as if he's not succeeding. General cluelessness about romance, internally afraid of becoming a bickering couple, tries to talk to her about medicine.
