Description Main tent contest for #Cirque-des-Reves

It's not the real moon, but it's a copy. There's a bunch of contradictions. The moon is often portrayed as a virgin, but here it's nurturing a skeleton. And the dead is coming back to life. Don't think too much of the crown above its head. Yeah, tried to tie the moon and necromancy together.

The guy's clothing is all for practicality. He needs a scarf because it's cold dealing with dead things all the time. Bringing them to life is an endothermic reaction. And his left arm is bare because he needs to work with it. He's kind of small, but...he's no acrobat. TT.TT But he's there! See?

I rushed a little on it because of the deadline, but hopefully it's not too sloppy. I've no idea. I've seen it too many times.

Black faction!

Amusez-vous bien. Je vous aime.

This is just for fun: ...First you see an orb of light--the moon, pale and feebly fighting to let out its glow. There's a boy in front of it. How annoying. He's perfectly marring the scene, and as far as anyone knows, he's not doing anything. Actually, he seems to be quite distracted, as if he were talking to someone not present. Wait...might this be the actual performance? Maybe he is a stand-up comedian. But as soon as the audience relaxes, he turns to the moon and waves his hand. Shadows cross its surface, and bits of dark matter swirl around, engulfing the light until only a black pit remains. Five seconds pass. The audience is nervous now as they try to make sense of the situation. Some laugh uneasily because, obviously, this is the circus, so bizarre events were bound to occur. However, they cannot explain the rapid drop in temperature or the wind creeping over them. Then, a sharp crack of light blinds them; the black begins crumbling away; they gasp. Inside, a skeleton crouches, nestled in a swirl of blood. It begins to twitch. Its joints loosen as it tests them, and painstakingly, it extends one arm to edge of the moon, clutches it, and wrenches itself out. As it emerges, flesh crawl across the bones and stitch together like the patching of a rag. Hair sprouts from its scalp. The skin lightens into an ivory shade. She is still gaunt, but the inklings of beauty rise, and her face is full of wonder and innocence, overwhelmed by her life. She peers around.

A brief whistle sounds; she blinks; her head falls.

oh wow i realized the skull is too big. darn, this is really a tragedy T.T

It's because of my human physiology class. I'm getting too obsessed with skeletons. TT.TT

Ohhh woow...even if rushed, this is very impressive as usual! The detail, positioning and of course my usual favorite of what I see from you is the meaning you pack into your pieces. Such an interesting story, unfolding in the mind.

A pleasure to see!
