The androgynous one with the furry coat is the best, perhaps because it's the only one with good hair. You need to define straight hair, I'm not exactly sure how one does this, I avoid hair like swine flu, but your straight hair isn't straight, it's flat.

The boy on top of him, or well, above him, -innuendo-, is that supposed to be a collarbone notch or an adam's apple? It really doesn't matter except for the fact that one cannot tell, thus ends up an awkward lump/cave. Adam's apple, give it more shape, notch, show the outlines of the collarbones, tis unrealistic for someone's notch to show but not the bones.

It's all very storybook-illustration-esque.

Thanks for the tips. Yes, I know my hair needs work, but I've grown so tired of seeing the same old and very outdated and outright embarassing work on my page that I needed to find some thing to sort of balance all of the uselessness fermenting here otherwise. I think another deletion party is due soon. (Cue ominous music).

There's not anything in the post that echoes final work to me, and if they were final versions (and looked like that) I certainly wouldn't post them here. But thank you for the comments, I'll definitely keep them in mind.

... I certainly do see what you mean. You're very right about this.

As for illustration-esque, that's definitely more or less I was aiming for. There was no goal of realism here, just more of a goal of overcoming that sketch block and finding a way to draw people without hanging my head in shame and in a style I can call my own.

A style where everyone looks exactly the same in regards to facial structure, and gender is hard to determine... but a start, nevertheless.

Because my standards for a final piece of art are far above anything I could ever manage to create.
