Days and nights, away they fly.
Tiger stripes mark years gone by.
Her one companion has fur so white.
Eyes of blue. A heart of might.
He speaks to her without word or sound.
His expressions alone are enough to astound.
Jealousy piques in his bristling fur,
toward the one she longs for – for whom her heart stirs.
His touch was forbidden. Their romance a sin.
But fear turned to passion and she let him in.
An unspeakable curse will haunt her for life.
To a man - a lover, but to tiger - a wife.
