Hair Color: Black/very dark brown

Personality/History

Shay is very polite, very welcoming, and very friendly. Back home she was often misconstrued as "quiet" simply because she was, well, incredibly bored and didn't have many to talk to. This was so only to the staff of the palace, to anyone that knew her outside of it, she was excitable, energetic and always in the best of moods.

Shay is from the Kingdom of the Sun (Or the Sun Kingdom), an expansive desert, dotted with large, (usually very green and fertile) oases. The climate is semi-arid in about 50% of the kingdom, with the other 50% being an arid (the "wasteland" bit of the kingdom with no stable oases, probably around 15%) or marine/oceanic climate (the other 35%), as a small part of the kingdom borders a sea to the east. The kingdom has no official "emblem" though the flag most commonly shows two crossed cutlasses. The flag's design is changed almost constantly (my excuse for not coming up with an emblem), and hasn't had a steady design since the founding the kingdom. The "official" (quotes because they can't decide on this either) are red and gold. The red has been exchanged with many other colors, but gold has always stayed. The "capital" where the largest settlement and the castle are located, is Golden Sand Gates.

Colors most commonly worn are reds and whites.

Most people in her kingdom range in skin color from "medium" (3) to "brown" (5) (see chart ), with a few paler or darker people sprinkled among the mix, obviously. The reason Shay has "white" skin, is because her mother is an outsider to the kingdom, and her father is on the lighter side of the spectrum. Actually from a place very far away, she's a commoner from a kingdom where ice and snow are common. That's where Shay got her unusual skin pigment and eye color. Because of her light skin, she was most commonly seen around her kingdom during sundown. If she was out in broad daylight, she was always sporting a parasol.

Shay's parents, King Suraja and Queen Maria, were always pretty free with their daughter. Obviously a bit protective as all parents are, but her father being a prince knew the restrictions that sometimes burden growing up "important", and always made sure not to limit her too much. She loved wandering around, she left the palace more than you would think, but could never go very far. This was not enough for her, and one day she left, not out of spite, but out of curiosity, to travel the lands of her kingdom, and many lands far from it. Her parents had sent out a search party, even after finding the note she left, but "gave up" after a while of searching. Both of her parents had basically done the same thing, her dad always having a thing for exploration and her mother travelling halfway across the world to even arrive at the Kingdom.

She comes home around the age of 20. Though she spends much more time at home at this age, she still goes off on many "trips", whether political or for leisure.

Extra
She idolizes Mario for his heroic deeds, as would anyone who's heard of him. She also idolizes him as a traveler and loves reading about his latest accomplishments and journeys.

She can sew decently. Not well enough to make clothes, but well enough to edit them or repair them.

Carries a lot of water with her and drinks often. Habit from home.
