Just another typical evening on the skyline of Brickstown.A commission for ~BasiliskXVIII featuring a whole host of his creations - from the left, going clock-wise, and all that we have Rock-Hopper, Corvus Corax, Dark Basilisk, Caesura, Ascella, and Shadowlisk.
He was looking for a slightly epic fight between a team of his heroes and their villain counterparts to be faught out in Brickstown. After a good bit of mucking around, getting too caught up in the city and losing the characters, and losing the painting to one of Painters infamous crash-while-saving-so-the-whole-file-is-corrupted, I finally turned this piece out. It took a touch longer then i would have liked, but I think it was worth it for the end result.
As a quick note, I reckon it should be pointed out that Rock-Hopper's (the bird looking guy with the beak) mask was designed by *JTran218 on his work dealing with Rock-Hopper.

That is the point. What is a "hero" or a "villain" in this, our post modern world, anyway? Here there is no apparent definites of good or bad, right or wrong, just perspectives. And who gets to say who is the villain and who is the hero. Is the guy who just got done stabbing a police officer or security guard a "villain". Would a man leaping to punish him for his crime be a "hero". Are vigilantes heroes when they take freedom of perspective away from the masses deciding themselves who is a hero and villain?
These questions and more never occurred to me while painting this. I was just dealing with the outfits i was handed. I think Bas likes black leather
