Description
My first big attempt at painting SigrΓΊn (minus all of her algae-related discoloration) with her twin daughters.Gah. So many bubbles and water webbing. All in all, I hope I got the scale right.
The title is taken from a line by *AnoOrca from the RP "Foreign Fathoms", which, eventually, this painting will tie into. It alludes to the thinking of one other such character who, in a way, is to 'blame' for this.

Okay I'm 99.99% sure I'm right about who the sad is >u>
This is so adorable! The scale looks great and you can definitely tell that she's their mama ^-^

You probably have the best chance of being right in your guess. Like I said, I thought you'd figure it out first. Anyone else who might've thought to guess would have to do some digging.
Thank you. I love the family resemblance that is present. But toward the end of working on the outline, I was starting to think I was seeing triple. And I've never even drank enough to make that happen.

I know. So many ideas, so little time.
Thank you. I'm glad they've been such a hit with you and my other watchers.

Oh my I don't like the tone of that description, aww, Sigrun <3
Hmmm...I think...I think I have an idea who the mystery daddy is. *staaaaaaare*
Oh so Antartic orcas are yellowish because of algae, eh? Interesting.
This picture is marvelous, Orkid I like how smooth the coloring and rays are. Lovely

Just another ordeal I put her through, for the sake of being creative. Safe to say, I won't be putting her through anything worse by comparison, though.
Yes. Algae known as diatoms, specifically. It lends them a yellowish tint all over their bodies. And suffice it to explain that after 18 or so months away from Antarctica, SigrΓΊn's completely lost her coat of it.
Thank you. I'm sure I'll get around to painting them together again soon.

That was the idea, so as to further make a mystery of who the father is. Thank you.

Considering how she isnt pregnant now, and is attracted to a Antarctic bull, I have a pretty good idea

I won't confirm or deny who it might be right now. But it will be revealed on the 31st. Unless the poll ends in a tie, in which case, I'll need to hold another, shorter one to determine which set of names I'll go with.

Thank you. Simple, as far as the perspective goes, but still, this represents at least five hours' work.

Yeah. I usually don't cite how much time given paintings take, or how many layers they're comprised of. The technical aspects don't need to compete with whatever reason a viewer might have, simply by viewing it.

Thank you!
Very rarely do I put three characters in the same painting. Mostly because of my fear the anatomy wouldn't be accurate and consistent from one to the next.

You're welcome!
I know exactly what you mean! You did amazing! That's why I'm holding off on my FF stick tossing game image, working on the anatomy more.

Thanks again.
I saw your WIP sketch of the idea in question. Four or more orcas? You've got your work cut out for you.
