I'm really hoping that King K.Rool would be in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but to fill the gap of anticipation, here is what I think he'd look like if it turned out he was the leader of the Snomads.He would be called Viking K.Rööl (I couldn't put 'ö' in the title of the deviation.), and he'd wear similar clothing to the Snomads, but keeping his golden cuffs and wielding a large axe.
I'm really looking forward to Tropical Freeze, and I'm hoping K.Rool returns as the main villain, or even as the fourth playable character that Nintendo have hinted.

Once again, thanks for all the favorites, guys.
Its pretty much confirmed now that this guy is the main villain of sorts.
Since they're keeping him in the shadows, he could be K.Rool in disguise, but it's seeming less likely with every new thing they show.
Still, this game looks like utter brilliance and I'm grabbing it day one.
Also, this guys clothing looks like my K.Rool designs clothing; Spooky, huh? XD

Its actually been leaked on the newest version of DKCTF Boxart that a certain character is the fourth playable character, but theres always the strong hope that the main villain could be the Kremling King himself.

omg, that would be hilarious and awesome if he showed up as a Viking. I can picture k.rool and lord Fredrik duked it out in a dlc update or after you defeat Fredrik he teams up with the kremlings unleashing a new adventure.

He has an apeyrysm because fighting konky dong, and inflamed blood vessel in the part of his brain that thinks about monkeys.

K.Rool always had one bulging bloodshot eye, they toned it down in newer games but the 90's K.Rool had full-on blood red veins in his eye.

K. Rool wasn't in Tropical Freeze (though I suspect he's being saved for a big return), but Lord Fredrik's combat strategy strongly references K. Rool's strategies.

Great work! But i don't think K.Rool is the leader of the Snomads, like he wasn't the leader if the Tiki's. Plus the Snomads seem to be animals that live in cold places.
Hopefully the Kremlin's will return in the third one.

It certainly would be interesting if K Rool ended up being the leader of the snomads. Seeing a Croc be the leader of Penguins, Walruses, Seals, Owls, rabbits...would be a very interesting sight indeed. With K Rool being a cold blooded creature, it has a chance of working out.
Nonetheless, epic drawing you made here, I wish K. Rool got more attention, because I feel like Retro is ignoring him.

K.Rool is due for another major game appearance after DK: Jungle Climber, so I'm sure K.Rool will appear in some form in Tropical Freeze.

I know the reason he wasn't in Returns was because Retro/Nintendo wanted to try a new main antagonist with the Tiki-Tak tribe, but I think they may put K.Rool in Tropical Freeze due to high demand by fans.
