This picture is based on a headcanon I have about Jocinda that is also somewhat relevant to Backyard Baseball '01 and '03 (and the Backyard Soccer games). In this headcanon, Jocinda is secretly an anxious person underneath her overconfident persona that she displays in most of the games (even in the games where she is "bad"/mediocre). The reason why, in this headcanon, she's secretly anxious is because she's trying to live up to the nickname that the rest of the cast gave her, which is "M.V.P." (abbreviated for "most valuable player"). Jocinda did not come up with the nickname herself; she even implies this in multiple games, following it up with, "I guess I'm okay" or some other variation of it. This could also hint that she doesn't actually know WHY they call her "M.V.P.".

In-universe, Jocinda is also looked up to by almost EVERYONE in the main cast for her talent in sports, hence why her nickname is "M.V.P.". This has lead to Jocinda trying to be "perfect" in sports, but she struggles to do that and live up to her nickname. Consequentially, she has anxiety issues because she knows she can't be "perfect" and tries to hide her emotions with this overconfident persona she came up with. She also wants to be as good as some of her brothers (she says one of her brothers is "really good" at baseball, if I remember correctly). So, there's that, her wanting to maintain her in-sports reputation, and not being able to be "the best." All of that combined makes Jocinda (secretly) a very anxious person, who looks confident on the exterior, but is crying for help inside. She's also canonically an artist, so she's LITERALLY an anxious artist as well.

In conclusion, I headcanon Jocinda to be somewhat of a "traumatized" character in a way (emotionally). I can see her in a scenario where she's walking up to the batter's box trying REALLY hard to hide her anxiety to the point where the other characters start to LEGITIMATELY grow concerned for her (including Sunny Day and Vinnie the Gooch). Basically, in this picture, Jocinda is finally giving in to all of the stress and anxiety she has felt for years and her emotions are imploding like a collapsing cave (a goofy way of me saying she's having a nervous breakdown). This girl needs a fricking hug!

I also headcanon that Jocinda has this weird fear of soccer because she is aware she is not that good at it at all, and only participates because of peer-pressure. I also also headcanon that she gets irrationally anxious whenever someone mentions backyard baseball '01 and '03, because, imo, those two games were part of her "dark age" in the Backyard Sports series.
