the color gradiant is cheap, looks like a microsoft word title art effect from 1999, that logo in itself is already out dated, apple stopped using this 3d logo since a while, now it's just a flat apple. The saturation is too high, it just looks very cheap.

Oh yeah, and the modern flat plain white apple logo we have today doesn't look cheap at all. I made this for fun. I'm trying to make a modern apple logo that has color again like it did back in the 80's and 90's, to see what it would be like, again for fun. This isn't the final result, I'm still trying to figure it out.

I quite like this and I think i would use this on the desktop pc I plan on building if I mange to get it to work as a hackentosh

you asked my a more complete opinion. dont be sarcastic about it. And no, the new plain white apple logo doesn't look cheap. and it doesn't matter if it's the final result, if you were happy with this version already, it means you have a huge lack of taste (which you can't do anything about.) Same goes with your second flat version. the gradient still looks horrible. I'm not insulting you here, just telling what things are wrong (in my opinion), and if no one is honest about the bad things, how can one person improve ? but yea, seeing your other works, your taste in general is quite cheap. Bad news for an artist tho.
