Description
Warning: Contains girl being dumb, OOCness, Kinda self-insertish thing, crossover thing, and dumb girl taking things either too seriously or not seriously enough. DL for full size if you want to read everything.Basically, this ridiculously huge stupid comic that I spent hours making is my roundabout way of saying...that I think I'm done with the Hetalia stuff. I'm sorry for anyone who was waiting for stuff, but some things are just not happening, and I've found interest elsewhere. It's been about four years since I got into Hetalia, and that's about the length of time I usually spend in one before I switch. I'm not completely leaving Hetalia behind, which is a bit of a rare case, but I'm done with the big projects. I might do some stuff with my sister when she gets back, but that's almost a year from now so I dunno. If you want to unwatch me because I'm going to be doing mostly stuff with a more obscure fandom, then go right ahead. I won't be offended. If you don't, just know that you probably won't see much Hetalia anymore. Maybe something little here and there, but not much. I'm sorry for the things that were never finished, but stuff happened and it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Thanks for being understanding, but feel free to talk to me about Hetalia whenever! I'm not leaving the fandom, just kind of drifting away from it a bit. Just a bit.

Haha! Don't I know that feeling!
Though, if you do ever check out Dangan Ronpa, then you must immediately tell me because I'm holding a lot of things in since I have nobody to talk to about them! ;A;

Oh I pan on checking it out o-o But do I want to play it or do I want to watch it. Advice Senpai!

I'm sorry, but as a senpai I cannot notice you. *hit by bus*
Well, I watched the anime, then played the first game, then watched the second game. The best experience so far was playing the first game, but I'm sad that I knew all the twists beforehand. The game is really character driven, and it's not the same experience if you don't get to spend time with the characters that interest you. If you don't spend time with them, you don't know as much about them, and you miss out. The anime and best LP of the second game both cut out the majority of the interactions between the main characters in the others, so you know a lot less about them. I remember when I was watching the second game, one character had a complete personality flip at one point, but I didn't feel the impact as much because I knew nothing about them. So, although I still enjoyed the anime and LP of the second game, I regretted doing it that way first. Personally, I recommend playing both of them if you can get your hands on them. It's just a much better experience. Plus, I wanna play all the minigames and alternate modes in the second game! D: All the cool features aren't available online anywhere, and from what I hear, it's all really cool stuff!
Also, a word of advice for when you do check it out...trust no one, but don't hate them either. Everyone has their reasons for doing what they do, and while you can't know what will push certain people too far, no one but the big bad is at fault. Well, there's this one pervert character that I personally can't stand, but other than that, I don't think anyone is deserving of hate. Also, just because someone seems a certain way doesn't mean it's so. The game likes playing with your expectations of other genres and even itself. And avoid the wiki at all costs! And tumblr! And anything that even mentions the game! There's actually a policy that the company has about spoilers, and videos have been taken off the internet for spoiling things. That's how much of a big deal spoilers are. They ruin the experience here more than anywhere, so be very careful.

Well, the first game is actually pretty easy, provided you're allowed to download stuff. There's a pretty good ISO download and translation patch that works fine, you just have to download a PSP emulator or something to use it. It's how I played it, and it's worked fine for me. It glitches sometimes, but it's fine.
As for the second game...Well, I just bought a PS Vita and the game off Amazon during the Countdown to Black Friday sale. Although I don't like the translation quite as much as the fan translation (heck, the official translation actually has typos!), the quality is fantastic, and it doesn't glitch like the download and patch did. There was an English patch in the works, but it was abandoned once the official English release was announced. This fandom is pretty dedicated, and they want to encourage people to actually buy the games so there's more support for it in the West. I just caved since I wanted to play all the bonus games, though I do actually plan on buying the first game someday. But anyway, the point is the first game's easy enough to get, but the second game you'll either have to give in and watch a let's play of, or you'll have to buy it and a Vita. :\ That's kind of the only way to play it.

(I feel you. I'm just glad they haven't made many changes to the inbox.)
You should! 8D
Though only the first game has an English download for the computer.
The only other way to play any of the games is with a PS Vita.
If you have one that's great!
If you don't there's let's plays everywhere, but that's just not as good. I really wanna buy the second game in particular. It has all the cool extras like 3 different what if scenarios and a minigame. =w= Plus, the overall story and gameplay is just better.

My mind... Is kind of sad. I like Dangan Ronpa, just. I feel like a lot of people I know are leaving Hetalia. It's a little bit too much at once. I hope you like the game series though! And this probably means the game is cancelled. That's too bad.Β

GreenwavesInactive In reply to Punkinator919 [2014-11-06 20:58:38 +0000 UTC]
Don't be sad! I'm not leaving Hetalia at all, it's just not my main fandom anymore. But yeah, this does mean the game is cancelled. It's not just you, though. A lot of people were way behind on what they'd agreed to do and I was tired of waiting. It sucks, but there's not much I can do about it.
It's cool to know there's someone else I know who likes DR, though! I didn't know you did! I thought everyone I knew had no idea what it was.

You should! Though be careful not to watch the playthroughs that have talking over them. It kinda ruins the experience. And I don't know if you've gotten to the second game at all but...just a warning. Super Dangan Ronpa 2 messed me up big time...for awhile at least. Until someone explained to me what the heck was going on with that. I won't tell you what because spoilers, but yeah. It messes you up pretty early on.

Dang. That sucks. It caught me completely by surprise. Well, not completely, since I knew something was going to happen at some point, but I just didn't know what or when, so it still surprised me to some degree. But anyway, okay! I recommend you watch the Japanese version if you can, though. Not because the dub is bad! I'm not a sub purist or anything. It's just that one of the voice actresses in the Japanese version helped to write her character, and the character was specifically created to go with her voice, so the English dub doesn't quite nail the portrayal as well.

Good! The thing that sucks about DR is that it's very Japanese, so a lot of things (such as jokes or double meanings) get lost in translation, and it gets even worse when you're trying to dub it. I think Johnny Yong Bosch did a fantastic job as Hinata (especially in the last chapter! I mean, dang!), but other than that it's really hit or miss. And Monokuma is awful in the dub. Just...awful.

Awww, that's a cute comic. To be honest, I've kind of drifted out of Hetalia being my main fandom over the past year or so. Just like you, that's not to say I don't still love it, because I do! My favorite Hetalia characters are still my favorite overall characters, and it's still one of my main fandoms. Just not 'the' main fandom. I guess that's a weird mix of Nancy Drew and X-Men right now, mostly Nancy Drew though. So looks like we both have games as our new main fandoms (although mine's not entirely 'new,' since I've liked it since I was 10/11 or so, so yeah...)

I'm glad to know it's not just me. I was feeling pretty guilty about it, actually. I've noticed a lot of people seem to be drifting from the Hetalia fandom lately, though, even with the new updates...I wonder what it is. Well, anyway, with or without Hetalia, I hope we still get to talk a lot. I love talking to you, even if it's about something I'm not too familiar with.

Oh, no you shouldn't worry about it. It's just my dad. He's always been a little strict, but over the past year he's progressively gotten worse. He hasn't hurt me or anything, he just yells at me a lot and blames me for things. I usually have pretty thick skin, but recently it's gotten bad enough to kill a good chunk of my confidence. I've kinda shut myself up in my room to avoid him as a result. It's nothing too bad since when he's not yelling at me I feel fine, I'm just not feeling quite as confident in myself as I used to.

I'm sorry, that sounds horrible and - despite what you say - very hurtful. It's really painful when someone you trust destroys a good bit of your confidence, I know from experience. That sounds really scary and I'm super sorry you have to go through it; I'm here to cheer you up whenever you need itΒ Β

GreenwavesInactive In reply to Obiwanlives4ever [2014-11-22 00:46:05 +0000 UTC]
Thank you. It is hurtful, especially when my mom tries to defend him. Or rather, when she used to. She's started to see more that what he's doing doesn't really have an excuse, but there's still not much that can be done about it. The thing is I know he does love me, because if he didn't he'd just ignore me and not care, and if I'm really careful about how I say things, he does go out of his way to help me...it's just hard because I feel like he sees me as an enemy rather than his daughter, which hurts a lot.

95Jezzica [2014-11-06 12:28:44 +0000 UTC]
So... Your new fandom is a game then? What is the game about?
π: 0 β©: 1
GreenwavesInactive In reply to 95Jezzica [2014-11-10 05:22:46 +0000 UTC]
Hmm...how to explain this without spoiling it but still getting across what a good game it is?
Well, I guess I can give you a summary of the first part of the first game. There's this elite school known as Kibougamine (or Hope's Academy/Hope's Peak/anything with hope and school really) that basically scouts talent. You can't apply to the school, you have to be scouted, and they'll send you an invitation and give you the title of Super High School Level insert talent here. And that talent can be literally anything. There's a Super High School Level Otaku in the first game, and the second game has the Super High School Level Gamer. Every year, they also choose one ordinary student by lottery to join the school as Super High School Level Good Luck.
Anyway, so the first game starts out with that year's Super High School Level Good Luck waking up with a bunch of other new students locked inside the school with an evil half black half white teddy bear telling them the only way to escape the school is to get away with killing one of their classmates. I thought it was going to be kind of like Battle Royale/Hunger Games at first, but most of the time is spent interacting with characters of your choice and the deaths are really spaced out. And when they do happen, it's more of a murder mystery. Kind of like a cross between Phoenix Wright and your typical visual novel. There's even trials with people shouting "Objection!" Or rather, in this case, it's just "you've got that wrong!" Also the blood is pink.
Yeah, I know it doesn't really sound spectacular, but there is actually an overarching story in all the games and the characters are just fantastic. Everyone is more than they first appear, and it's the complexities that make it interesting...even with an evil teddy bear and pink blood.

It's a fantastic game! The gameplay and story are great, but the main draw for me is the characters. I just love all of them! Well, almost all of them. There's a couple of characters who annoy me, but most of them I just love so freaking much. ;w;
