No problem! Btw, do you use your actual hair for a lot of your cosplays?

That's awesome! I'm guessing for the one's with longer hair, you have to use a wig?

All the pics of me you see with blonde hair is mine (I've been growing out my hair for a year and a half).  The other colours you see are wigs.  I'll be using blonde extensions soon for really long hair though.

Cool!    Always choose characters you love to cosplay.  That way you'll be motivated to go through the process of making the costume, which is sometimes a lot of effort.  I also recommend looking for inspiration/advice from other cosplayers.  If you don't know how to do something, see if another cosplayer has done something similar.  When I started out, I checked a lot of cosplayers' work in progress pics to learn how to make stuff.  Don't be shy to ask for advice.  Good luck and lemme know if you have any other questions!

Thank you so much! One more question. What's the average expense for making your own costume completely from scratch? I hear from some that it can get pretty expensive with all the materials and such.

It depends on the complexity of the design of the character of course.  If a character wears relatively normal clothes, it's easy and cheap to buy the the clothes from a thrift store.  To make an item from scratch though...that also varies, depending on the design and material.  I made a brown over coat from scratch recently (see my Liquid Snake and Mushishi cosplays) that cost around $60 (Canadian) in materials.  But if you're smart with materials, like you know what you need and try not to waste much, I'd say the average cost would be between $100-200 to make a full costume.
