Infernal Guard Marine...kind of a different-flavoured Legion of the Damned. A very nice request to bring me back to drawing 40KThey are sort of Warp Revenants, with eldritch energy swirling around them. I envisioned the guys as being on fire inside the armour, hence why it comes out of the cracks. Notice his little ribs being charred...cute, right?
Hope you like him, guys. Thanks in advance for watching. Don't be mad if I'm not as responsive to comments as I once was, I have much less time available, these days.

Nope, they're pure-blooded loyalists. Well, they don't have blood anymore, but you get it. These are, if you will, recolourings of the Legion of the Damned - it goes deeper than that, but it's an accurate definition for us watching from outside.

I mean for those of us not familiar with their fluff. Even I know little about them. When I referred to them as a recoloring of the legion of the Damned, that's pretty much all I know. Apart from that, all I can tell you is that they're related to the Imperial Fists, so supposedly, they only appear to the sons of Dorn. They are also revenants, so that armour might be mostly empty or with a skeleton inside.

if GW had release the current models of them when i was choosing which faction to play. maybe i would have play space marines.

I meant the Infernal Guard, not the Legion of the Damned, regarding the connection to the Imperial Fists.
The Legion can appear to any Marine force in distress, methinks.
And indeed, the Legion of the Damned models are great.

Hmmmm. Great art, but just for once, this is one of those pieces that could completely stupify or disappoint when somebody adds colors. Wonder what ssome of the fans on deviantart will make of it with their colouring skills. Challenge anyone ?

They aid Loyalist Marines in times of absolute necessity, so aye, they're absolutely loyal. Also because they're dead, so their free will might not be all it once was.

he looks cool and all like the fire comeing out but it needs more skulls and bones that a main stable of the legion thats all oh and maybe the fire that comes out should be spooky faces that would look cool just my opion still looks cool as always

Yay, Legion of Damned stuff! They are one of my favorites in WH40k universe. They are badass, but you image makes them MUCH MORE badass and awesome! The Emperor blesses you!

I was about to say I dare you coloring that thing, but seeing this...
I didnΒ΄t expect anyone actually thinking about it so no problem.
I thought about coloring it with acrylics, but I donΒ΄t know if the paper could take that.
It already began to deform when I did the letters.....

My coloring skills suck noodles, and using pencils would take so friggin long^^ And why don't you make new cleaner version on some sturdier paper?
