My sketchbook actually went into combustion while I was drawing such supreme lifeforms together. I ended up handing over my soul to complete it.I'd say it was worth it.

Well, it gives you a base on which to improve, if you choose to follow a different path. Anime and manga inspiration is no obstacle and actually comes in handy when you want to draw characters in movement. It also makes it easier to draw facial expressions.

Right now i just feel that I am stuck with the whole big-eyed unproportionate art style. I mean I do like how it looks, it just looks a bit childish to me at this point. I find art like yours to be much more sophisticated, as it requires more detail and time put into it, rather than some animes and mangas nowadays. I'm not saying manga can't be detailed, I mean, oh god, Arina Tanemura's artwork is full of sparkly detail. But I just find it emberassing to think that grown men and women still draw in manga and anime style. And sometimes anime fans can be so annoying and stereotyped that it's emberassing for me to be part of that whole culture.
Maybe it's easier to improve fantasy style art because it looks realistic. I mean if you need to improve on proportions and still have yoru style look the same, just taking a class on drawing humans is easier. When it's with mangas, people teach you their style, so different eyes, proportions everything. :/
