So beautiful how you just slap down colors and refine it, there is so much depth in your work! ^^

Hey there! I look at your work regulary and there are some really brilliants and fresh paintings here!
Just one question: do you plan something before the first step? I mean even if the strokes seem messy, all the scene is already set. Do you make sketches before that or is it pure inspiration (which were if it's the case purely unfair lol)

Thanks!
I usually just draw random things, but the artist requesting this told me they wanted a hotspring scene with birds.

well ok, but for this one, did you plan something before placing the elements or did it come by itself? I'm sorry to stress that point because I notice how important it is to set an image well so that it becomes captivating! I try to improve my images but I have to do lots of small sketches before finding a pleasant setting.

It comes by itself ^^ when you have a good visual library stuff like this usually comes by themselves. Its also good to know basic art theory, which also just goes on automode as youΒ paint.

Sorry to ask but wow on one layer is really amazing! I have to use layer modes for lighting and shading when I paint. How do you go about choosing colours for light and shades?

I'm glad that you excluded all of the steps for the last one, because those aren't as important as the initial work. it's the 80/20 rule. Any steps after those first few, besides the final, are not helpful to most aspiring artists, their problems lie within the first moments of a painting.

Awesome! I love seeing these progress shots. I'm curious how many layers you used, and what things were on what layers.

I'm just wondering how you came up with the initial idea in the first place. How do you plot out these scenes? o:

I honestly have to say, you are one of my favourite artists. The attention and detail you place in your art is fantastic. The colours are so vibrant and lighting is placed in the most accurate spots that it gives feeling and depth. You inspire me and make me want to be a better artist.
Ahh, great job! :'D keep up the great work snuffs
