I read on your page that you had a traumatic year last year. I hope things are getting better. I know how that can be. I lost my wife almost three years ago and sometimes it seems like the hurt will never go away. She left a big hole inside of me. Not trying to be pushy or nosy but, if you want to talk, lol well type how about, I'm here to listen and offer what wisdom I have learned the last couple years.
Where are you anyway? I'm in Indiana, USA.
The flowers are buttercups and those are at a good friend of mines house. He and his wife have been wonderful in getting me through the changes. Ok, enough. hope you're better. Take care.

I work at a hospital and have seen Alzheimer's patients on the increase a little each year.
And on your birthday too, I am so sorry. No the emptiness just kind of lingers and little things set it off. Gentle reminders usually, pictures, sounds, finding something she put away some place. But it's ok. Something else to grow through.
Take care.

Yes like a certain tune of even a smell, it don't end i am still finding things now,
nd alzheimers is shunned upon people don't like to think about it, if your dealing
with someone with this disease you end up on your own without a paddle so to
speak, people are so ignorant, they need to wake up to thereself the sad thing is
it is not only the elderly this disease also affects the young the day centre i used
to take mum too there youngest was 23 years old, the thing is it is not there
fault why run and hide from it could be them one day, anyway end of rant thank
you my friend.
You take care too my friend

Very well said. Smells get me faster than anything else. I have a partial bottle of my wife's perfume. Every once in a while I'll spray it on her pillow. People truly do not understand either the disease or the way it affects the family and loved ones.
My wife got ALL, a form of leukemia and people couldn't understand it.
I saw a young lady, about a year ago, go down hill very quickly. I was amazed how quickly in fact. I felt very sorry for her husband because he was at a total loss as to what to do or even say.
I posted a panoramic of my backyard, check it out.
I will take care, thank you. You do the same.
