Her date was astounded that Plonk took out four of the cronies without even punching them, funny thing the date thought that was amazing. She still felt bad to use the power while they were going home from a date.

Ah hah! Had a few of those "you're not good enough for my kid" feelings coming at me from folks in my past. Don't know why people have to be that way. I understand to a point parents wanting their kids to be with someone who will be a help meet as well as being there through the hard times, but even if that's not the case the kid's have to find their own way with the person they choose to be with.

Being picked on does have one of two possible outcomes. Being able to turn that negativity into a strong resolve to raise above the stupidity. Or becoming jaded and gaining the need to make people feel as bad as they do.

Too true. Plonk has been a rough life, growing up losing her parents being raised in the orphanage to the streets, to mutancy, to being kicked out of a team before she met TT. despite all of the whirlwind in her life, she chose to learn from all of her mistakes and be positive.

From what you've described Plonks turmoil does seem similar. But just like the glowing nose wonder she was able to raise above it becoming stronger and still willing to do the right thing.
