Description Mostly just putting this here for my eventual system reformat.

Live XP Visual Style based on Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Photo Gallery and the Windows Live Website.

I was using this one for a while...

While it looks good, it's more of a match for the Live Messenger style (I use Pidgin). You can use his ViOrb if you'd like more Vista appeal. I prefer the XP Menu to ViStart so, no theme planned for that.

I also have a Styler toolbar in progress. [link]

Icons I downloaded from CrystalXP. (I think it's this one) [link]

Basically my goal was to make a simple clean XP theme based on Live. I'd still like to get the 1px borders like Live Mail and Photo Gallery have... that may yet come.

I tried it, but none of the folders in the "All Programs" menu of the start menu opened. Did I do something wrong?

As regards the start menu, I'm having problems when I set the icon size to be larger than 32px. Never mind, I've set it to 32 for now but I'd much rather them larger

Oh and I forgot. Otherwise it's a GREAT theme!

Thanks, I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about though. When I go to the properties of the start menu and do customize, I have Large selected and it all looks ok.

It's not something you'll find in a regular program. It's a free program called IconTweaker. Basically it's a free and easy way to change the icons on your machine.

Here's a screenshot of what I was talking about.. (note your style... looks great!)

Cool, thanks for that. Maybe I'll investigate it. I'm not really that into the skinning/tweaking stuff... but, I do appreciate the feedback.

If you check back in a few minutes, I should be adding the styler theme too.

Its really nice Unfortunately I hate that style of start menu, nothing wrong with it, just personal preference.

I kinda know what you mean. I don't know if we agree on style but, I've been thinking about changing it to be more XP like. The user icon sticking up off the menu like that, I find rather ugly.

I think its the fact that its just so huge, regardless of how many programs you have on the left hand side. I miss having Icons on the right, words are a step backwards to me.

and yes, the picture sticking out of the top is kinda ugly
